Acting Made Stupid Simple

Acting Made Stupid Simple is a how-to guide for anyone interested in starting an acting career in films, television and commercials. The book will contain tips, anecdotes and action items to help children, teens and adults explore acting opportunities while saving valuable time and money. It’s written in an easy-to-read memoir style with the author’s reflections on the lessons of his own career.

It’s written by Marc Isaacs, a Dallas-based actor and writer, and is scheduled for a Fall 2011 release through Happy Pants Publishing.

The 10-chapter book includes a look back at Mr. Isaacs stints in broadcasting at radio stations FSR and PAC-93 in Ogdensburg, New York as well as his TV career for WWNY, WUTR, WTEN, KTRK,  and News 24 Houston. The book also features mentions of some of the inspirational actors and entertainers he’s met and worked with, including Anthony Herrera, Fran Drescher, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jamie Foxx, and many more.

In 2010, Mr. Isaacs portrayed real-life crime victim Terry Caffey in a pilot for a series called “Final Witness” on ABC. His credits also include a feature film called The Toy Box, in which he played an attorney prosecuting the case of a serial killer. He’s been seen by national TV audiences in a commercial for Lane Furniture, and in 2011 the joined the cast of Celebrity Mystery Theater in Dallas as the show’s lead detective, Sherlock Holmes.

Mr. Isaacs resides in the Dallas suburb of Lewisville, and he’s the father of a six-year old girl, the subject of his blog called “Raising Aidan.”
